The Geneseo Art League encourages art in all its forms, for members and the community around us. CWe offer opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to study and explore a variety of art media.

We offer a friendly, supportive community and space where artists and art lovers come together to shop, learn, teach, inspire, and encourage artistic expression in beautiful downtown Geneseo, Illinois.

Our calendar is full of opportunities for you to grow skills, try various art forms, and enjoy creating alongside others who share your passion for art. In addition to scheduled classes, we offer Open Studio Wednesdays from 10:00 to 3:00. Just show up!

FEATURED ARTIST

EMILY NYQUIST

Emily Nyquist is a self-taught artist from Geneseo, IL. For the past 10 years she has been creating mosaics using stained glass. She says “It has been a wonderful challenge using this medium to create professional artwork. With each mosaic I learn new skills and different ways to manipulate the glass. I enjoy depicting many subjects, including nature, animals and abstract. For the past few years, I’ve been enjoying creating realistic mosaics, sometimes changing the color palette to get a painterly effect.” Emily also teaches mosaic classes at the Geneseo Art League.
